Conditions and limitations
A prosecutor’s technical consultant is distinct from a civil court expert. Articles 359 and 360 of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure address different situations, including non-repeatable examinations. Appointment, authorisation and procedural safeguards must be assessed for each case.
Specialist work is agreed only after assessing feasibility, authorisations, expertise and tools required.
